Stephen’s ties to Northwest Iowa started at an early age. He grew up in Arnolds Park, Iowa. Rather than spend time on the lakes, he practically lived at the golf course. Stephen was introduced to the game of golf at Emerald Hills Golf Course and discovered his passion for golf course maintenance there. Following his graduation from Arnolds Park High School, he attended The University of Iowa. At Iowa, Steve had the privilege of working at Finkbine Golf Course and helping maintain the university’s intercollegiate athletic complexes; additionally, the athletic grounds’ crew earned a national award for best college baseball field. However, the most exciting part of his job was the sports turf maintenance of Kinnick Stadium. He still attends as many games as possible to watch his beloved Hawkeyes.
Upon graduation, Steve accepted a position at Glen Oaks Country Club in West Des Moines, Iowa–one of the top-rated golf courses in the state. Glen Oaks introduced him to a new and challenging side of golf course maintenance: the construction and grow-in phase of new golf courses. He then accepted a position at Sibley Golf & Country Club, acting as the Superintendent throughout the construction and grow-in phase. During his time at Sibley, Stephen and his staff had the honor of earning two prestigious awards. In 1998, he was honored as the Iowa Golf Association’s 9-Hole Superintendent of the Year. In 1999, the course received The IGA 9-Hole Golf Course of The Year Award.
Family is very important to Stephen and his wife Jodi. They have three wonderful children: Stephanie, Blake and Tyler. The Roseberry family is very happy to call Sioux Center their home and to be part of the community. Stephen is very excited about his opportunity at The Ridge Golf Club. He and his staff expect to maintain the golf course at championship playing conditions on a daily basis. Maintenance at this level should make everyone’s day at The Ridge a very enjoyable experience.
Since The Ridge opening in 2009, Stephen has been awarded 18-Hole Course of the Year in 2012, and 18-Hole Superintendent of the Year in 2014 & 2025, both from the Iowa Golf Association.

Dave is originally from Michigan and came to the area for college. Dave worked on the grounds crew at The Ridge while receiving his turf grass degree and moved onto to mange a local 9-hole course. When the opportunity arose to fill the position of Assistant he returned.
