Ryan is originally from Sioux Center, Iowa, and began golfing when he was 13 years old at Sandy Hollow Golf Course. While working as a landscaper and irrigation installer for Van Holland Lawn Service, Ryan realized that he wanted to pursue a career in golf course maintenance. He graduated from Southeast Technical Institute in Sioux Falls, South Dakota in 2006 with a degree in Turf Grass Management. Ryan has worked at Bakker's Crossing Golf Course in Sioux Falls, South Dakota as a grounds keeper and at Spring Creek Country Club in Harrisburg, South Dakota for a training position to become an assistant superintendant.
Ryan is very honored to be part of this exciting project in his own community. Being involved with the construction and grow-in phase gives him great pride in how the staff will maintain the golf course. Ryan and his wife Jenna are happy to be in Sioux Center, Iowa.
