The longest par 3 on the course is intended to require a driver or 3-wood on some days, even for the better player. From the tips, the hole measures 243 yards and can play into a west wind at times. The normal south or southwest wind can hold up or knock down anything other than a well hit straight shot or slight fade. In addition, the hole plays over one of the deepest and widest areas of the irrigation lake, with up to a 215 yard carry required to reach dry land. The green, however, is quite large and receptive to the required shot and will be very easy to putt after surviving a fun but stressful approach. The middle and especially the front tees are, however, quite playable for those players, but the shot from the back should be a cure for the problem of "average" players wanting "to see" the whole course from the "tips".
